KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-AVN) - Monday will see the start of the working visit by a Ukrainian Air Force delegation to Malaysia, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service told Interfax.
He added that the issues of further military and technical cooperation would be the most important on the agenda.
The Ukrainian delegation with Air Force Commander Yaroslav Skalko in charge will visit the Malaysian Defense Ministry and Subang and Quantan Air Force Bases. Also, a briefing on history, organization and development prospects of the Royal Malaysian Air Force is scheduled.
According to the press service, the Malaysian delegation headed by RMAF Commander Dato Seri Ahmad Saruji Bin Che Rose got familiar with the scientific and manufacturing potential of Ukraine, new solutions in defense technology and training of pilots and technicians.
The official said that the Ukrainian Air Force delegation's visit to Malaysia would be in line with other Ukrainian efforts in the Pacific region. An international conference of Air Forces commanders was held in the Japanese capital of Tokyo September 23-26 that saw the participation of 35 countries. Skalko joined the discussion of military aviation employment in present-day conditions, and familiarized himself with the requirements to Air Force leadership as well as with the achievement of air industry of world leading countries.
