Kadyrov urges Chechen residents to help find militants

GROZNY. Sept 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Chechnya's First Deputy Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov on Tuesday urged residents of Chechnya to help find the militants believed to have escaped from the scene of a battle in the Nozhai-Yurt district.

He said that Chechen law enforcement squads spotted an armed group between the villages of Alleroi and Meskety on Monday evening. Twenty-three militants were killed in the fighting. "We do not know how many of them were wounded but managed to escape. But whatever their number, we shall find all of them if we understand the simple truth: in our homeland they are fighting against us, against each of us," Kadyrov said.

He said separatists do not want peace, they want war, since "murder brings them their blood-stained dollars."

"I am addressing everyone. I am not asking you to take up arms. This is our business. But if you learn where these people are tending to their wounds and are preparing more evil, tell us," said Kadyrov.
