MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax-AVN) - A delegation of the Moscow city legislature led by chairman of the veterans' affairs commission Alexander Kovalyov arrived at the Russian airbase in the Kyrgyz town of Kant on Tuesday, Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky, chief of the Air Force press service, told Interfax-Military News Agency.
While visiting the base, the delegation members will hand over assistance worth over 2.5 million rubles to the Russian servicemen, Drobyshevsky said. The assistance includes a Gazel vehicle, refrigerators, ACs, and computer hardware.
Several concerts will be arranged for servicemen of the base and their family members. The delegation members will meet with veterans of WWII and the Afghan war, who are living in Kyrgyzstan, Drobyshevsky said.
