Russian state arms trader to open office in Brussels

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian state arms trading company Rosoboronexport plans to open a representation office in Brussels to organize interaction on antiterrorist issues within the NATO-Russia partnership.

"In coordination with the Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the posting of a Rosoboronexport representative (in Brussels - Interfax) to work as an authorized head of its office for the Benelux countries and France and also for NATO institutions is being considered now," Vadim Startsev, a high-ranking Rosoboronexport official, said at a conference on cooperation in fighting terrorism between NATO and Russia.

As a first step to arrange cooperation in antiterrorist matters, the Russian representative will take part in a NATO working group for coordinating antiterrorist technology.
