TBILISI. Nov 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Georgian villages in the valley of the Bolshaya Liakhva river in South Ossetia came under fire from Ossetian positions for half an hour on Monday night, police in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia told Interfax on Tuesday.
The sporadic fire involving grenade launchers did not cause death or destruction among local residents.
At the Georgian State Chancellery, Interfax was told that State Minister Giorgi Khaindrava is planning to hold talks in Tskhinvali on Tuesday on implementation of the understandings reached in Sochi last week on restoring stability in the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict zone.
