KRASNOYARSK. Nov 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The 3rd international Siberian Aerospace Show 2004 to be held in Krasnoyarsk December 3-5 will see the participation of over 150 companies, an official of the exhibition's press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.
According to him, large air industry enterprises from almost all regions of Russia already proved their intention to participate alongside with the country's biggest manufacturers and operators of aircraft.
The exhibition's schedule includes the demonstration of ground and airborne equipment for piloting and navigating aircraft in Siberia and the Far North, as well as ground maintenance and support vehicles, special uniform, emergency rescue and evacuation assets, and other equipment operational in extremely low temperatures. Apart from that, state-of-the-art satellite technologies will be shown. Moreover, a scientific and practical conference will be held, dedicated to the promising research and development of aerospace vehicles and technologies.
The exhibition will be held at three sites simultaneously: the exhibition center of the Krasnoyarskaya Yarmarka Company, the Krasnoyarsk airport and the House of Science and Technology.
The organizers of the air show include the Krasnoyarsk territory administration, the Reshetnev scientific and production association of applied mechanics, the Siberian State Aerospace University and the Krasnoyarskaya Yarmarka Company.
According to the press service, the previous two exhibitions proved the importance of such events. They saw the participation of over 120 Russian and foreign enterprises, with over 7,000 people visiting. Moreover, several contracts for aircraft acquisition were signed in 2002, including the memorandum of intentions between Boeing and KrasAir.
The forthcoming air show is expected to be a good occasion for meetings of high-ranking officials, who are concerned in the development of the region and the country.
