MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Defense Ministry has decided to declassify archives, containing information on servicemen killed in action or missing in action during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday that the Armed Forces Archives Service had been ordered to declassify corresponding documents by April 30, 2005.
"The documents to be declassified include lists of officers killed in action, reports on and lists of rank-and-file servicemen and officers killed in action, operational and combat dispatches, and servicemen burial logs," a source said.
