Two militants detained in Chechnya

KHANKALA. Nov 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Federal law-enforcers have detained a person suspected of terrorist activity and a member of an illegal armed formation in Chechnya, the Russian Interior Ministry's provisional press center in the North Caucasus said on Thursday.

A man born in 1975 was detained in the Sunzhenskaya district, a press center official told Interfax-Military News Agency. He was on the wanted list for terrorism from 2003.

The other man, born in 1981, was detained in the Gekhi-Chu village in the Urus-Martan district.

The police registered five crimes and detected two of them hot on the trail in Chechnya on Wednesday, the official said.
