MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trading company will exhibit a nearly full range of Russian export-oriented aircraft of the SUY, MIG, YAK, MI and KA makes at the INDO DEFENSE'2004 EXPO & FORUM, which will take place in Jakarta from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Russian exposition segment devoted to combat and transport aviation has been prepared taking into account requirements of commanding staff of the Asian armed forces," the Rosoboronexport press service reported on Monday.
The exposition will demonstrate practically the whole export range of the SU family aircraft, including the SU-27SK Flanker, SU-30МК multi-purpose fighters and SU-39 multi-purpose attack aircraft with the Kopyo radar sighting system. The exhibition display may help guests and participants to acquaint themselves with unique capabilities of the MIG-31E Foxhound fighter-interceptor and YAK-130 combat training aircraft.
The Russian display will provide much information on combat attack, assault and reconnaissance Mil and Kamov helicopters, namely: MI-28NE Havoc combat helicopter, MI-35 Hind, MI-35P, MI-35М combat helicopters, MI-17-1V assault helicopter, KA-31 radar patrol helicopter.
Unique capabilities of the MI-28NE combat helicopter will certainly spur interest among experts since this helicopter is capable of performing combat missions day and night, at critical low altitudes. The MI-26 Halo heavy combat transport helicopter will also be at the center of attention since it affords maneuvers of troops with combat materiel and transportation of large lots of cargoes with a total mass of up to 20 tonnes.
At the Russian display one can also learn performance of the MI-35M combat transport helicopter, which is a modification of the famous MI-35 combat transport helicopter. Due to additional gun armament, the MI-35M helicopter now can more effectively destroy enemy's armored materiel and provide better fire support for the army subunits.
