MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax-AVN) - The situation in the Georgian-Ossteian conflict zone remained tense on Monday, Erdni Natyrov, press service official of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces' Unified HQ, told Interfax-Military News Agency by phone from Tskhinvali.
"Russian observers keep registering cases of unaimed small-arms fire," Natyrov said.
According to him, shooting was registered in the vicinity of Achabeti, Dvani, Dirbi, Dampeleti and Zemo-Monasteri, as well as on the northern outskirts of Tskhinvali, overnight to Tuesday.
A helicopter without identification signs flew southwest of the Muguti village in the peacekeepers' area of responsibility at 12:20 p.m. Moscow time (0920 GMT) on Monday, Natyrov went on.
Major General Marat Kulakhmetov, commander of the Joint Peacekeeping Force, ordered the command of the Georgian peacekeeping battalion "to immediately submit to the Joint Peacekeeping Force's Unified HQ the list of the Georgian peacekeeping personnel that have arrived to replace their colleagues, as this list has not been submitted yet," Natyrov noted.
