BISHKEK. Nov 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Contrary to what Kyrgyz and other mass media have reported, AWACS early waning aircraft will not be based at Bishkek's Manas Airport, the press secretary of the U.S. Air Force base in Kyrgyzstan told Interfax-Military News Agency.
She said that the base did not need such aircraft. Only aerial tankers and military transports are currently deployed at the base.
