Bodies of two crewmembers of crashed helicopter discovered in Kamchatka

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - The bodies of two crewmembers of the MI-8 Hip helicopter that had crashed in Kamchatka, the Russian Far East, were discovered Tuesday morning.

A spokesman for the regional civil defense authorities told Interfax that a ground search team found the two bodies in the badly damaged helicopter. Two rescue helicopters landed in the crash area to continue the search for the other people who had been aboard the helicopter.

The helicopter owned by Kamchatka Airlines on a flight from Osacha to Yelizovo failed to enter a communication session slated for 4:20 a.m. Moscow time (0020 GMT) on November 27. There were three crewmembers and two doctors aboard.
