MOSCOW. Dec 2 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a federal law under which juvenile drug addicts will be forced to undergo medical treatment without their consent, the presidential press service announced Thursday.
The document aims to create conditions in which drug addicts younger than 16 will receive treatment without their consent but with the consent of or upon request by their relatives or legal representatives.
The law is designed to improve legal regulation of problems involving conscription to military service or early demobilization.
