NEW DELHI. Dec 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the meeting of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental commission on military technical cooperation, held in New Delhi, had resulted in settling all issues, pertaining to military technical cooperation between the two countries.
"Almost all military technical cooperation issues have been settled in the course of detailed two-day negotiations. At the present time there are no problems whatsoever, which may hinder our progress in this sphere," Putin said during the meeting with Indian Defense Minister Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on December 4.
Addressing Mikherjee, Putin said: "We are glad to hear that the Indian Defense Ministry is now headed by an experienced person, who is very well known to us."
Putin also noted that in the mid-1990s Mukherjee headed the intergovernmental commission on cooperation between Russia and India, and occupied the post of the Indian foreign minister.
