Russia, Turkey sign several agreements

ANKARA. Dec 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Ahmet Sezer signed a joint declaration on strengthening friendship and multilateral partnership between the two states in Ankara on Monday.

In addition to that, the presidents witnessed signing an intergovernmental agreement on preventing incidents in the high seas outside territorial waters, an agreement on mutual security of intellectual property rights, resulting from bilateral military technical cooperation, as well as an agreement on mutual protection of classified materials and information, transferred or accumulated in the course of the bilateral cooperation in the sphere of defense industry.

Besides, Russian gas giant Gazprom and Turkey's Bortash Pipeline Company signed a memorandum of understanding on developing cooperation, while Russia's Vneshekonombank and Roseximbank have signed an agreement on cooperation with Turkish Eximbank.
