MOSCOW. Dec 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Long-range Russian aircraft are capable of wiping out terrorist bases in any corner of the world and will do so if necessary, Air Force chief of staff Colonel General Boris Cheltsov said in Moscow on Wednesday.
"Our long-range aircraft have long-range, high-precision weapons today, which make it possible to find terrorists in any spot in the world and cause them the damage they deserve," Cheltsov said.
"The strategic cruise missiles that are used by our strategic nuclear forces have been given the capability to carry conventional weapons that can strike any terrorist bases with high precision wherever it is necessary," he said.
"To carry out such tasks, air bombs equipped with high-precision guidance systems will also be used," he said.
"If the need arises, we will use any weapon needed to neutralize any terrorist bases or groups," Cheltsov said.
