BEIJING. Dec 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov has said that the first Russian-Chinese military exercises will be held in 2005 in Chinese territory.
"We have agreed to hold the first ever serious military exercises in the territory of China in 2005," he told reporters in Beijing after talks with his Chinese counterpart Cao Gangchuan.
In his turn the Chinese minister said: "Our two armies have a very high standard of combat training. I think that during the exercises we will learn much from each other. Besides, the joint exercises can promote greater understanding, interaction and friendship between our officers and ensigns."
