ASTANA. Dec 14 (Interfax-AVN) - A maintenance facility opened at the Karaganda base of the Kazakh Air Force Tuesday.
The press release of the Kazakh Defense Ministry reads that the facility will be sort of a small plant to provide maintenance and overhaul of aircraft.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Kazakh Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Kopen Akhmadiyev, and representatives of local administration and the Armed Forces.
The capabilities of the facility will allow the maintenance personnel of the air base to ensure quality repair and maintenance of aircraft with the aim to improve flight safety.
According to the Defense Ministry press service, the personnel of the new installation are skilled specialists of the maintenance service experienced in repairs of avionics, weapons, air frame and ejection systems.
