MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will sell over 300 military helicopters to foreign buyers in the next five years, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency.
A ministry official said that between 2005-2010, Russia will be able to deliver up to 250 attack helicopters, about 70 reconnaissance and anti-submarine helicopters and about 10 cargo and landing helicopters.
Quoting Russian expert estimates, the official said that about 300 military helicopters will be annually sold on the world market until the end of the decade with Russia having 13-16% of the market, the United States 41-43% and Western Europe about 32%.
The official said Russia will be offering a wide range of helicopters: MI-28 Havoc and KA-50/KA-52 Hokum attack helicopters, MI-8/MI-17 Hip, MI-26 Halo and KA-60 cargo and landing helicopters, KA-31 and KA-252SV reconnaissance helicopters and KA-28 Helix anti-submarine helicopters.
