MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax-AVN) - An all-Russian conference on priority measures aimed at increasing the quality of defense industry products will take place in Rostov-on-Don on February 9 and 10, a spokesman for the Federal Defense Order Service said on Thursday.
"The conference's agenda includes the issue "On the state of armament and military hardware quality and measures aimed at improving it," the spokesman told Interfax-Military News Agency.
Representatives of the Russian presidential administration, Security Council, Federal Assembly (parliament), government, Defense Ministry, Federal Defense Order Service, Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader, Russian Industry Agency, and Southern federal district are invited to the conference. The event will also involve about 400 heads of defense industry enterprises and organizations.
"The conference will feature a show of arms and military hardware used in the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus," the spokesman said.
Director of the Federal Defense Order Service Andrei Belyaninov chairs the committee charged to organize and conduct the conference.
