TBILISI. Jan 21 (Interfax-AVN) - U.S. instructors rounded up a five-day C2 training course for 25 naval officers of the Georgian Interior Ministry's border guard department on Friday, a source in the department told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"In particular, naval guards learned to operate in critical situations - to make competent decisions when time is running out, to command their subordinates intelligibly, to ensure interaction, and to maintain stable communication," the source said.
"U.S. instructors used the most perfect methods of training," he stressed.
The graduation ceremony in Batumi will be attended by Major General David Gulua, deputy chairman of the border guard department and head of the coast guard directorate, and high-ranking U.S. officials.
The Georgian Coast Guard Service numbers over 30 ships and boats. The national Operations Control Center was founded in Poti earlier with U.S. financial support.
