MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin said activities in the security sphere must be seriously restructured.
"A series of terrorist attacks, organized and carried out by international criminal groups last year, point to the necessity of serious restructuring in the security sphere," Putin told an expanded meeting of senior officials of the Prosecutor General's Office.
He said that "terrorist acts must be effectively combated and analytical and preventative work must be done."
"Hotbeds of potential conflict situations must be revealed at an early stage," Putin said.
