MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin has demanded stricter control over the observance of the law in the armed forces.
"We need permanent control over the observance of social guarantees for servicemen, over the safety of the military property and the proper handling of allocations to defense," Putin told an expanded meeting of senior officials of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Special attention "must be paid to implementation of the law on the accumulative-mortgage system for providing housing to servicemen," Putin said.
