MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry air-mobile hospital sent to Sri Lanka treated 295 patients, including 110 children, on Sunday.
All in all, the hospital has received 1,175 patients, including 392 children, and performed 13 surgeries on January 19-23, a ministry press service source told Interfax on Monday.
The hospital is deployed in the town of Tangalla, 250 kilometers south of Colombo.
Ministry planes have delivered 165.56 tonnes of humanitarian aid to tsunami-stricken countries in Southeast Asia, the source said. They also evacuated 102 tourists to Moscow.
