TBILISI. Jan 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Mountain pickets on the Chechen, Dagestani and Ingush sections of the Russian-Georgian border will soon receive 300 sets of winter uniform that Russia has handed over to Georgia, Colonel Kornely Salia, chief-of-staff of the Georgian Interior Ministry's State Border Guard Department, said on Tuesday.

"The distribution process will start in a few days," Salia told Interfax-Military News Agency.

"The Georgian party has received with gratitude the gesture of Russian colleagues," he said. The colonel did not rule out that Russian colleagues will continue helping Georgian border guards. "We will determine proper workstreams, he said.

The 300 sets of Russian winter uniform were handed over to Georgia in Vladikavkaz on January 21, when Russian and Georgian border guards were discussing cooperation plans for 2005.
