Criminal case against Tymoshenko won't be dropped – Ustinov

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will not close the criminal case it opened against Ukraine's acting Prime Minister Yuliya Tymoshenko, Russian Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov told Interfax on Wednesday.

"This case will be investigated in compliance with Russian legislation, no more and no less," Ustinov said.

Commenting on the possibility of detaining Tymoshenko if she comes to Russia, he said there is a court ruling to authorizing such a measure.

"Prosecutors do not arrest. This happens under court rulings," he said.
