Suspect in Ingushetia attack detained in Nalchik

NAZRAN. Feb 9 (Interfax-South) - A man has been detained in Nalchik, the capital of the North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, for a suspected role in the raid on Ingush security agencies on the night of June 22, 2004, an Ingush Interior Ministry source told Interfax on Wednesday.

The suspect was identified by a previously detained participant in the attack as Nalchik resident Aslan Uyanayev, a follower of Wahhabism, the source said.
