KYIV. March 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has suggested reducing the numerical strength of the country's armed forces to 245,000 people, including 180,000 servicemen.
The president's bill has already been submitted to parliament.
If Yushchenko's initiative is approved, 40,000 people, among them 30,000 servicemen, will be dismissed from the army in 2005, an explanatory note reads.
